APLs new low loader arrives

To complement the company’s growth into the plant and access delivery markets the brand new 44 tonne rig arrived into Aerial Platforms on 1 March 2014.

Doing the hard work up front is the latest Mercedes Actros Big Space tractor unit with a 510hp Euro 6 engine and fully auto box. Behind it is a state of the art Nooteboom trailer that comes with low angle rear ramps and also a hydraulic lifting floor so that the full length of the body can be used for any machine.

The whole rig not only acts as a flagship for Aerial’s growing business but also offers significant gains in efficiency with more collections or deliveries being made per single journey as well as the gains that Euro 6 technology offer in terms of both fuel consumption and carbon footprint.

The new truck will ensure that we can deliver more machines on time every time to our customers and will aid greater flexibility, mobility and coverage throughout the country to enable us to meet customer needs and expectations.

COVID – 19

Here at APL/APC we are committed to safety and are actively doing our part to reduce the chances of COVID-19 spreading. Whilst we employ a number of these practices anyway, we are taking extra care that all of our staff follow them.

Upon returning to our HQ, each machine is thoroughly cleaned with G101 multi purpose cleaner and extra attention is taken on high risk areas of the machine such as keypads and control boxes using special Biocidal cleaner.

All of our drivers have been given special disinfectant wipes and cleaning supplies to keep their trucks clean and reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

We are also disinfecting our offices daily and have adopted many safeguarding techniques including keeping a 2m distance between any two people at one time.
