Here at APL we are at the forefront of innovation and are always striving to be pioneers of the latest technologies. As such, we have just taken delivery of the UK’s very first JLG 450AJ Diesel Boom Lifts featuring Tier 5 engines.
The new level of emissions regulations known as Stage V or Tier 5 came into force on the 1st January 2019 and applies to all diesel engines with an output of 56Kw (75HP).
The Tier 5 engines further reduce emissions dramatically compared to the Tier 4 predecessors and feature Diesel Particulate Filters aimed at eliminating ultra-fine particles of soot in diesel exhaust known as sub-micron level particles.
This most recent investment marks the first of many more to come featuring the new Tier 5 engines.
